The short version
Feedfast has no account, no ads and no analytics. What it sees on your phone stays on your phone. We, the developer, don’t collect, receive, sell or share your personal data. This website has no cookies, no analytics and no tracking; its font loads from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address like any web request.
1. Accessibility Service
Feedfast uses Android’s Accessibility Service API so it can block the apps and short-video feeds you choose. With your permission, it:
- sees which app is open, and which app windows are visible, so it can show the block screen for apps you chose;
- in apps where you block only the short-video feed (Facebook Reels, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts), checks the IDs and accessibility labels of screen elements, such as a selected “Reels” tab, to recognise the feed;
- leaves the feed by tapping that app’s own Home tab, or with Back or Home, and closes or pauses a blocked app that plays in a small floating (picture-in-picture) window;
- in Lend mode, lets only the apps you chose open until you unlock with your phone’s screen lock.
It does this only to make that match, at that moment. It does not read your messages, passwords or what you type, does not record the screen, and never stores or sends what it sees. Nothing is blocked during a phone or video call. You can turn the service off at any time in your phone’s Settings.
2. What stays on your phone
To show your Insights and enforce your rules, Feedfast keeps this data only on your phone, in the app’s private storage:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your rules: chosen apps, Reels switches, schedules, daily limits, Exam mode and Lend mode lists, settings | To block what you chose |
| A log of when blocks happened, sessions you ran and study subjects you typed | Streaks and Insights |
| Time spent in apps that have a daily limit | To enforce the limit |
| App usage time from Android (only if you allow “Usage access”) | Insights charts |
| Your own block-screen message and photo (if you add them) | Personalising the block screen |
| A one-way hash of a partner-lock code (if you use partner lock) | To check the code; the code itself isn’t kept |
| Which Premium plan you own and when it ends | To unlock Premium and remind you before a pass or trial ends |
Feedfast opts out of Android’s automatic cloud backup, so this data isn’t copied to your Google account. A backup exists only if you save one yourself (Settings › Your data).
3. What leaves your phone
- Feed-rule updates. About once a day Feedfast downloads a small, signed file that describes how to recognise short-video feeds in supported apps. The request contains no personal data or identifiers; like any web request, the hosting service sees your IP address.
- Purchases. Premium is bought through Google Play. Google handles payment; Feedfast receives only whether you own Premium, never your card or payment details. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Only when you choose to: a backup file or CSV export you save or share yourself; a partner code or weekly card you share with someone; and “Report a problem” or “Contact us”, which open your own email app. “Report a problem” fills in your phone model, Android version and Feedfast version. You see the email and decide whether to send it.
Feedfast contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services. If you email us, we use your email only to reply, and delete it when the conversation is over unless you ask us to keep it.
4. Permissions
- Accessibility Service: see section 1.
- Usage access (optional): only for Insights; you can turn it off in Settings.
- Notifications: session countdowns, reminders and setup problems.
- Start at boot: so running sessions and schedules continue after a restart.
- Biometric / screen lock: Lend mode asks Android to confirm your screen lock. Feedfast never sees or stores your PIN, pattern, password or fingerprint.
- Internet, billing, vibration: feed-rule updates, Google Play purchases and haptic feedback.
5. Your choices
You can clear your data with Settings › Reset statistics or Reset Feedfast, or by uninstalling the app. Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to export or delete on our side; if you have a question about this, email us.
6. Age
Feedfast is meant for people aged 16 and over and is not directed at children.
7. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date, and the app will ask you again before any new kind of data use. Questions? Email us.

Using Feedfast
Feedfast is a tool to help you limit your own phone use. You decide what it blocks and you can turn it off at any time in your phone’s Settings. It works on a best-effort basis: apps change their layout, phones differ, and Android can stop background services, so we can’t promise that every block works every time. Don’t rely on Feedfast where a missed block could cause harm.
Premium
- Premium is sold through Google Play. Prices are shown before you buy, in your local currency.
- Lifetime is paid once and stays on the Google account that bought it.
- Monthly and Yearly renew automatically until you cancel in Google Play; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Premium until the paid period ends. A free trial, where offered, turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.
- The Exam pass is paid once for 3 months and doesn’t renew.
- Refunds follow Google Play’s refund policy.
Other apps
Instagram, YouTube and Facebook are trademarks of their owners. Feedfast isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by them; it only recognises their feeds on your phone, at your request.
Liability
Feedfast is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, the developer isn’t liable for indirect losses arising from using or being unable to use the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law in your country.
